These terms govern your use of Defter, a service based in the Sultanate of Oman.
By starting or using Defter, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and acknowledge the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Any consent that must legally be separate from these terms will be requested separately.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of accepting these terms. You may use Defter only for lawful personal or business purposes. An organization’s representative confirms that they have authority to act for it.
Defter is a conversational record-keeping tool available through Telegram. It can interpret text and supported voice messages, organize user-supplied debts, payments, expenses, contacts and reminders, ask for confirmation before supported write actions, answer record queries and generate reports. Features may be added, changed or removed as described in these terms.
Access is associated with your Telegram account. You are responsible for securing that account and for activity submitted through it. Notify admin@defterassist.com promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Telegram is a separate third-party service with its own terms and privacy practices.
You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and legality of information you submit. Defter does not independently verify that a debt, payment, identity or balance is genuine. You must review confirmations, balances and exported reports and correct errors before relying on them. Keep independent copies of records that are important to you.
If you submit another person’s name, contact details or financial information, you confirm that you have a lawful reason and any required permission to do so. Do not submit sensitive or unnecessary personal information. You are responsible for responding lawfully to the rights of people whose information you provide.
Eligible new users receive 50 free starter messages under the rules shown on the Prices page. After that, users may purchase any prepaid credit amount of USD 5 or more. Credit is deducted according to the measured usage and published customer rate for each AI operation; text, voice, documents and unusually long or complex requests may consume different amounts. The applicable rates, taxes, top-up value, usage method and any credit-expiry rule will be clearly disclosed before purchase. No payment will be taken without authorization.
Auto-reload is optional and requires separate, explicit consent. If enabled, your chosen amount of USD 5 or more may be charged when the disclosed balance threshold is reached. The amount, threshold and payment method will be shown when you enable it. You may disable future auto-reloads before the next charge; disabling it does not automatically reverse a completed charge.
Refund eligibility and the request process are explained in the Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms limits a refund, remedy or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Oman law.
You must not use Defter unlawfully or fraudulently; violate another person’s rights; submit malware or harmful content; attempt unauthorized access; interfere with the service; evade usage charges; reverse engineer protected parts of the service except where law permits; or use Defter to facilitate prohibited financial activity. We may investigate suspected misuse.
Defter’s software, design, brand and original website content belong to Defter or its licensors. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service. You retain rights in information you submit and authorize us and our processors to use it only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Defter depends on services including Telegram, OpenAI, hosting, monitoring and the selected payment provider. Their interruptions, changes or restrictions may affect Defter, and their own terms may also apply to your use of their services. We remain responsible for our obligations that cannot be delegated under applicable law.
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, security events and third-party outages may cause interruption. We may change features when reasonably necessary, but will provide reasonable notice of material changes that adversely affect paid credit where practicable and required by law.
We may restrict or suspend access for material breach, fraud, security risk, unlawful use or non-payment, with notice where reasonably possible. You may stop using Defter and request account deletion through support. Account closure will disable future auto-reloads. Handling of stored records, exports, unused paid credit and refunds will follow the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and applicable law.
Defter is a convenience and record-keeping tool. It does not provide accounting, tax, legal, investment or financial advice. Outputs may contain errors and are not a substitute for your review or advice from a qualified professional. This disclaimer does not exclude warranties or remedies that apply mandatorily under law.
Any limitation of Defter’s liability applies only to the maximum extent permitted by Oman law. Nothing excludes or limits liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or mandatory consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, and disputes are intended to be submitted to its competent courts. This does not remove any mandatory rights or jurisdiction available to a consumer under applicable law. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally.
We may update these terms when the service, pricing or law changes. The current version and effective date will be published here. We will give reasonable notice of material changes and obtain renewed agreement or consent where required. Changes will not retroactively reduce purchased credit or mandatory rights.
